DES MOINES, Iowa -- Despite a 13-hit performance and a three -un rally in the seventh inning, the Bulldog softball team fell to UIC today, 8-7.
Drake was able to keep pace with UIC early, holding the Flames to one run through the first three innings. After allowing two runs in the bottom of the fourth, four Bulldog hits, including a 2 RBI double by and an RBI single by , evened the score at 3.
Then, Drake allowed five unanswered runs in the bottom of the fifth on five hits. The Bulldogs added on one run via an RBI single in the top of the sixth.
